Stephen L. O’Connor, M.D.

Meet Stephen L. O’Connor, M.D.

After 33 years as an Emergency Medicine specialist, I knew much about human health and wellness.

Six years ago, my professional and personal views were turned upside down!

My wife, unknown to me, began taking a nutritional supplement that transformed her health and wellness virtually overnight.

Try as I might, I couldn’t discredit the results. Don’t get me wrong; traditional Western Medicine has made extraordinary and miraculous advances that most can appreciate. I have been on the leading edge of that promise for decades as a frontline medical professional.

But, despite lifesaving advances and technologies in a few discrete areas of medical care, most chronic diseases we face have mainly been unresolved with current traditional management.

With diabetes, obesity, heart disease, cancer, Alzheimer’s dementia, and autoimmune conditions on a very steep rise, we have, as mainstream doctors and health professionals failed our patients.

Using a more Naturopathic and Functional Medical treatment philosophy, we can do much better.

In the last decade, I have become a student of “alternative” medical practices: Functional Medicine, Naturopathy, Herbalism, Mycology, Botany, Meditation, Grounding, Longevity, and Global Health.

These fields of professional study hold the answers to a life of health, wellness, and longevity!

I have an extensive background in nutrition, supplementation, and new health technologies, including stem cell and ketamine therapeutics.

With my experiences as a 7-time Ironman (including two Ironman World Championship finishes), a 2010 Leadville 100 ultramarathon finish, and completing multiple ultra-distance running and cycling races, I have a real-world appreciation for what the human body is capable of enduring.

This insight has been invaluable in designing health, wellness, and longevity strategies to serve others.

I grow organic vegetables, fruits, mushrooms, and medicinal herbs.

As their Chief Science Officer, I am currently involved in supplement research and product formulation for Liv Labs, LLC (a CBD and supplement company).

Additionally, I function as the Chief Medical Officer for the Salutem Health Group, overseeing clinical, educational, and research activities — ultrasound-guided stem cell joint injections, natural and traditional treatment protocols, education of students, and many other medically related job responsibilities.

Through participation in numerous Medical Global Health Missions —missions that have brought me from the Caribbean, and Central America, to the Amazon Rainforest — I have learned a great deal about the difficulties of providing medical services in remote and challenged conditions. I wouldn’t change any of the cold showers, insect bites, bad weather, heat, and dangerous mountain roads traveled. However, I have met many of the most humble and grateful people along the way — people that have taught me that medicine is not all about Star Trek technology, costly procedures, and expensive pharmaceuticals.

I share a life with Michelle, five delightful children, six grandchildren, and our fur-buddy “Clover.”
